About Sentry Kennel
My family got our first standard schnauzer, P-I (Ch. Uhlan Front Page, CD) when I was about eight. He was an incredible deluge into the word of standard schnauzers--all male and all personality. Next we got our sweet Nikki (Am/Can Ch. Uhlan On the Town, NA, NAJ, CGC), who was the perfect combination of pure love and murdering rodent chaser. She taught us about love and loss in the breed when we lost her all to soon at 11 years to cancer. She was the first dog I finished myself, I think at age 14. "Houston" (Am/Can Ch. Uhlan Dark Side of the Moon, CD, RE, MX, AXJ, XF) is my sweet people pleaser, TV watcher, and agility dog extraordinaire (in his younger days). He received a Versatility Award recently from SSCA for his accomplishments. He is 14 this year and lives a leisurely life with my parents. Although I don't own her, I would be remiss not to mention my mom's baby, "Audrey" (Am/Can Ch. Weesbad Catchs Fair Lady, AX, AXJ, OF), who thinks I belong as much to her as my other dogs.

Now I am the proud owner of "Kona" (Ch. Jordan Kona Kai of Windtree, NAJ, RATN) who lives with us and introduced me to the sport of Barn Hunt. Her happy intensity is going to be so fun in agility and is already a hoot in the Barn Hunt ring. I got Kona to be my foundation bitch for my own line, and after many preparations for my family, we are finally ready to start this journey of breeding, which has been a lifelong goal.

Along the way, I have had many mentors in the breed, whom I am infinitely grateful for. My dog family is one of the places where I find the most personal support for my endeavors, and many of these folks literally watched me grow up in the breed. They have lifted me up through tears and heartbreak, and taught me so much about the breed, life balance, and about taking the long view. I hope to make a positive mark in standard schnauzers and produce many champions and loving family members along the way.
